Our third night of VBS was a sight to see! We met together and all the children who dressed up were paraded around the worship center in fashion show style! So many children and their parents did such a great job dressing up as Egyptian men and princesses, explorers, and detectives. It was so hard to choose a winner. Several made honorable mention, but only one received the grand prize - a hand made treasure box made by our own Nate Johnson (thanks Nate). The winner was Rochelle Denery, who dressed as an Egyptian princess. Great job!
In the lesson time, the students were taught that the Egyptian's greatest wish was to live forever. However, all their preparation for eternal life did not line up with what the Bible teaches. Our verse for the night was Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." The gospel was presented in simplicity in hope that some children might receive Christ.
The skit continued and all the children are wondering who stole the money box?
Only one chance left to attend! Come out tonight from 6-8:30pm.
