They're Here... and We're Excited!

Our new pastor, Joel Preston, and his wife Jenine, their two sons J.J. and Jace and Jenine's parents have arrived from Florida. Over forty people were at the Preston's home to welcome them and to help unpack. Below are a few pictures from this afternoon.

Who's Behind The Disguise?

Who’s behind that disguise? Someone who’s investigating the files? Someone who’s examining the evidence? Someone who’s checking out the data? No…. behind that disguise is Carol Manyen just checking out The Egyptian File Registration Table.

This year’s Vacation Bible School is fast approaching, August 16-19. The Egypt File is designed to teach kids to love the Bible, connect kids to God, create change in their hearts, and give them opportunities to share God's love with others. Below read more about The Egypt File and download this year’s registration form.

Here’s what your child will experience on each action-packed evening at The Egypt File Vacation Bible School: First, they’ll meet at the Museum Opening Assembly which is a high-energy gathering complete with wacky intros, lively songs, a missions moment, a design time, and prayer. Your child will also, dig into God’s Word and uncover eternal truths at the Dig Site Bible Time. They’ll check out the potter, weaver, and other artisans at the Craft Market. Then, they will be enjoying a taste of Egypt at the Snack Oasis. Did I mention the snake pits, Nile crocodiles, and more, at Sunsational Games?

Your children will learn some terrific trivia tidbits such as:

  • An ancient Egyptian would place his right hand on an onion when taking an oath.
  • Ancient Egpytians didn't use pillows when sleeping but instead used wooden or stone headrests.
  • The Egyptians thought it was good luck to enter a house left foot first.

Here are some facts your kids will learn about their bodies God has so wonderfully made:

  • During your lifetime, you'll make enough saliva in your mouth to fill two swimming pools.
  • Your body grows a new stomach lining every three to four days.
  • Tickle! Tickle! It is actually impossible to tickle yourself.

And most importantly, your child will learn that we have the truth to life right in our hands. God has given us an account of how things came to be in his Word, the Bible. We'll take a look at some of the myths of creation and how they compare to the Truth.
