Men’s Retreat
It's not too late to join us this weekend, August 14-16 at Rock Ridge Camp (a part of Shamineau Ministries) for fishing, food and fellowship.We will be joining Milaca Free Church for a great weekend together! Cost: $50 for adults, $35 for 12 yrs old and under. This includes 2 nights lodging, five meals and speaker. Rock Ridge Camp is in Ely on the cool clear waters of Little Long Lake in the heart of Superior National Forest and at the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. In Memory of Tim
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is hosting a concert on Saturday, August 15 at 6:30 pm in memory of Tim Caza. This will be a night to remember and celebrate Tim’s life. Music and stories shared by Tim’s friends, family and area churches. Ice cream will be served afterwards.

For Students and the Whole Family
Rock the River Tour this Sunday, August 16 sponsored by the Billy Graham Association will arrive in Minneapolis. Rock the River Tour is a high energy music tour traveling up the Mississippi this summer and features: Super Chick, Flyleaf, Kirk Franklin, Canton Jones, LaCrae, Decemberadio, and Franklin Graham. The tour started in Baton Rouge, July 18 then moved to, St. Louis, August 2. Next the Quad Cities, August 8 and ending up this weekend in Minneapolis/St. Paul August 16 at Harriet Island, 2:30-9:30 pm. Cost is $10 (children 10 and under are free). Bring your sunglasses and your lawn chair. Gates open at 1:00 pm. Note: Immediate family of 3 or more, pay $30 max.

Women’s Retreat
“My Heart, Christ’s Home” is theme to this year’s women’s retreat at Grindstone Lake Bible Camp the weekend of September 11-12 (check in time between 4-6 pm on Friday evening). Karla Hogan is guest speaker who speaks with humor and sincerity as she identifies with life and its struggles whole living with a condition causing partial facial paralysis. She will guide us as we each imagine Jesus coming into the home of our heart, moving room by room even exploring the closets of our lives. Youth Retreat at GLBC
We’re heading on out and up to Grindstone Lake Bible Camp for this year’s Student Retreat, September 18-20. This year’s theme is Under Construction: God at Work! You will be hearing Jared Carlson, who is a much sought after speaker. Jared is the senior high pastor at Salem Baptist Church in New Brighton. Jared also works with Christian Ministries International as a conference and youth speaker. He has a dynamic passionate style of communicating, that captivates his audience.
