Baggage: It's Time to Let Go!

May Sermon Series – Baggage: It’s Time to Let Go

People have issues – all people. Christians are no different. Every relationship we enter into causes us to realize that many of these issues are unresolved. I call these unresolved issues “Baggage.” As a result, our relationship with God and others suffer and we never become all that God intends us to be. Why? We refuse to deal with our baggage.

In Psalm 139, David openly (and I might say dangerously) invites God into his life to deal with his baggage. While David never became perfect, He did become a man after God’s own heart.

Do you want to go to the next step in your relationship with God? Then, like David, we must invite God into our lives to deal with our baggage.

Join us for the following Sundays, 10:30 a.m. at Pine City EFC, Lighthouse:

May 1 – Baggage Check: Discover What’s Inside

May 8 – Mother’s Day “A Woman to be Praised”

May 15 – Emotional Baggage

May 22 – Overcoming Addictions

May 29 – Released from Depression

Celebrate Easter in a New Way!

On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. They were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, "Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?" But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. "Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

Jesus lives and reigns for eternity.
He has reclaimed life for all those who believe in Him. Through God's work on the cross, we may have eternal life as well. "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live" (John 11:25). Death is not the end. And the resurrection of Jesus Christ proves it.

If you put your faith in Christ, then Easter means that you will live forever in the presence of God. Consider Him Today!

We warmly invite you to our Easter Celebration this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

An Egg-ceptional Kids’ Sunday Afternoon

Sunday, April 17, 3:00-4:30 p.m. at Pine City EFC South Campus, children, 4 year olds to 5th grade are invited to a Veggie Tales movie, that will help to teach them the true meaning of Easter. They'll find out that it's not about chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs, but a reminder (from a tomato and cucumber) that Easter is a celebration of ‘new life’ because Jesus was resurrected on the third day – giving us new life in Him. Your child will have the opportunity to color Easter eggs, watch “Twas the Night Before Easter” with discussion time afterwards and participate in a coloring contest! Easter treat bags will be given out at the end!
