Students committed to impact their school for ChristSee You At The Pole is simply a time of prayer, early in the school year, for students to lift their friends, family, teachers, coaches, community and school up in prayer around their school flagpole. It is a student initiated, student organized, student led time of prayer. SYATP is this Wednesday, September 23 at 7:00 am.

Upcoming Concert
Our Redeemer Lutheran Church invites the community to more than just a concert! On Saturday, September 19 at 7:00 pm the Carpenter's Tools Inc. Music Ministries will present a full night of music, skits, testimonies and a few surprises! This is a free concert for the whole family and community! The Carpenter's Tools Inc. is a group of young adults called to serve and share the Gospel of Christ through music, worship and skits. They are committed to encourgaging the church, challenging Christians to loving action, and sharing the hope of Christ.
Walk for the Hungry
A significant portion of our community needs our help. In a response to this need, the 1st Annual Walk for the Hungry has been organized. Join others on Sunday, September 20 at Robinson Park downtown Pine City for the walk. Registration begins at 1:00 pm with the walk beginning at 2:30 pm. When I first began writing articles, bulletin and newsletter announcements, I had so much to learn (and still do!). One of the questions that arose in my mind is how to write dates correctly in various announcements. I had been use to seeing dates written as the following: "The birthday party is on Saturday, September 19th". My understanding is in adding a 'th' a 'st' or a 'rd' to the number, making it an ordinal number, you would write it this way: "The birthday party is on Saturday, the 19th of September". The rule of thumb is if the day is written before the month, it should be written as an ordinal number. If the day is written after the month it should be written as a cardinal number such as: "The birthday party is on Saturday, September 19."
