Saying Good Bye to Will
On Saturday, we will host the funeral of a wonderful young man that was just starting life. Will Christen went home to be with Christ on Saturday morning in an automobile accident. He was a part of our youth group, along with his sister, Emma, for a number of years. Will was full of fun, was quite a tease and he will be greatly missed.
The funeral service is at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 24 at the Lighthouse, with visitation two hours before (9:00-11:00 am). Jack Allen, former Pine City EFC Student Ministries Director, will preside at the funeral.
The video clip above shows Will at the far left, having a ball!
District Blitz '10
North Central EFC Student Conference
Be in prayer for our students and leaders, twenty-nine traveling to Rochester this weekend (leaving Friday 3:15 pm) for Districts. They're in for a great time with speaker Bob Lenz who has an intense passion to share the love of Christ. He shares experiences that help youth deal with real life, while igniting their faith, instilling hope and challenging them to make a difference in their world.
Worship leaders, Mark Alan Band from Orono, Minnesota. Mark describes himself as a pretty simple guy who has a deep love and passion for God and loves leading others in worship. He is Worship Director at Woodridge Church. Mark is a singer/songwriter who is just finishing a new record that will come out this year. Included also in this year’s platform is illusionist/speaker, Dave Horsager, and artist, Scott Erickson.
Pray for safety, that this will be a time of renewed commitment and passion for Christ. Pray for relationships to grow among students and leaders.

Memorable Weekend For Students
The Lighthouse was transformed this past weekend to accomodate 180 plus Pine City High School students at the 2010 Senior Prom. Reports are that the kids had a great time and it is much due to so many who helped. A huge thank you to all who helped with arrangements and transformation of the building. It is a fun event for Pine City EFC to host. Above are some faces you may recognize.
Movie Night For Everyone
Movie night for everyone is coming up on Friday, April 23 at the Lighthouse. A spaghetti dinner will be served at 6:00 pm with the movie, “FlyWheel” showing immediately after the dinner. This night is for all ages. Bring your kids and invite your neighbors! A little about the movie: Jay Austin wants to sell used cars in the worst way ... and that's exactly how he does business at his dealership. Promising much more than he can ever deliver, he'll do whatever it takes to sell a car. His manipulative ways permeate all of his relationships—even his wife and son know they can't trust him.
But as Jay works on restoring a classic convertible, he begins to see that God is working on restoring him as well. Coming face-to-face with the reality of how he truly conducts himself, Jay Austin begins the ride of his life as he commits to honoring God with his business, his relationships, and his life! A must see!!
