For Students

Through small groups, friendships and connections are made with others. Without small groups students can get lost in the crowd. As many youth leaders say, small groups are the backbone of youth ministry. Small groups for our teens meet at the following time and place listed:

Girls Small Group on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Jenine Preston’s home.  

Sr. High Boys Small Group meets every other Saturday starting January 28 from 8:30-10:00 a.m. at the Preston’s.

Jr. High Boys Small Group meets January 28, February 4, 18 at 8:30-10:00 a.m.

Tonight at Frontline

Jeremiah 33:3 ^"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." 

As Frontline leaders we are very aware that prayer is one of the most talked about and least practiced disciplines in the Christian life. Because of this, we have worked hard to model prayer dependence on God to our students. We have intentionally made prayer a vital part of every Frontline meeting. Tonight, we have planned an exciting night of "hands on" prayer. We will load up in vans travel to several places in town for special prayer times. We will be praying for the schools, the government, the homeless and prisoners, as well as the various churches in our community. This night will be very impactful for all involved. Students and parents please make sure that your permission slips are filled out and turned in tonight!

Man On The Move

 Action. Involvement. Movement. Engagement. Service. 

The Gospel by Mark is a record of virtually non-stop activity carried out at a rapid-fire pace. The key term repeated over 40 times in this first account of the life of Jesus, the Servant of God, is EUTHUS, the Greek word for “immediately.”  Being the shortest of the four gospel accounts, Mark wastes neither time nor words as he portrays the Savior at work, continually serving others.

The tone of the writer is practical, not mystical or philosophical, which had an appeal to the industrious Roman mind. The lack of emphasis on anything pertaining to the Jewish ancestry of Jesus makes good sense, since Mark’s audience is mainly the Gentile reader.

While others refer to Jesus as “Lord” and “King,” Mark prefers “Master,” again underscoring the vocabulary of a servant.

The hinge of the book pivots on a single verse, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (10:45).

Arctic Blast Winter Retreat

Okay, everyone…. get ready for a phenomenal time at…  Arctic Blast at Camp Lebanon the weekend of February 24-26 for grades 7-12.  Pick up a registration form at Frontline this Wednesday night.  The deadline for registration is Wednesday, January 25 at youth group. The registration fee is $99. Just so you know, there are scholarships available... just let Traci LeBrun know.

Camp Lebanon is the place to be for a HOT TIME when the temperatures get cold. Snow and ice transform programming to create opportunities for relationship building, disciple making, and memory creating!  Plan on snow tubing, broomball, ice skating, snow football, carpet ball, foosball, and ping pong tourneys along with an incredible weekend! Straight forward Gospel messages are paired with engaging worship to create an unforgettable weekend at Camp Lebanon.

At Arctic Blast you’ll hear speaker, Brian Schulenberg - story teller, Bible teacher, Senior pastor of Woodbury Community Church. Music will be led by Mitch Pantano and the Camp Lebanon band.

Ladies Night Out!

Come to the Lighthouse for a Christmas Cookie Exchange and another Chonda Pierce movie night this Friday, December 16, at 6:30 p.m..  Bring four dozen of your favorite Christmas cookies on a platter and an empty cookie tin. We'll enjoy some of the cookies during the movie with some coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. We’ll also exchange the cookies and bring home a delicious variety in our tins. Invite a friend! Wear a Christmas shirt or sweater if you'd like!

Christmas Musical and Dinner

There's been a lot of hustle and bustle around PCEFC.  We have a very special production that our kids, teens, and adults have worked very hard on coming up this Sunday in honor of Jesus' birthday. We are thrilled to present  this year’s Christmas musical entitled Christmas Hang-Ups.  This musical performance and dinner is on Sunday, December 18 and we have a full crowd... there's not a seat left to be found!

A bit about the musical…

It’s just before Christmas and the tree ornaments have been awakened from their yearly hibernation by the movement of their storage box.  It’s time!  As they begin to prepare for another season on the Watson’s Christmas tree they are greeted by a rather strange and “unChristmassy” ornament:  A Hula-Girl.  The Star, the Snowman, the Angel, and others don’t understand what she has to do with Christmas and give her a rather cool reception until another significant figure from the mantel piece shows up to explain to all of them what Christmas is about and how they each have significance in God’s amazing plan of redemption through His Son, Jesus.

A humorous and engaging story with delightful songs and a solid salvation message that will teach children what Jesus’ coming was all about and remind kids and congregation alike that Christmas is truly a time to celebrate!

Each artisan has committed to giving a portion of their proceeds to Bible camp scholarships and Pine City Community Food Shelf.
