Backyard Clubs For Kids This Summer

We are now forming teams for Summer Backyard Bible Clubs for Kids. Because we have a passion to transform the lives of children and minister to our community, we have decided to “go out” into our neighborhoods this summer and minister to children via Backyard Bible Clubs. Going into our neighborhoods will enable us to reach more children with the good news of Jesus Christ.

A “Training and Equipping” Workshop is planned for Saturday, April 27 from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon at the Lighthouse. Maureen Burger, from Child Evangelism Fellowship has been invited to come and provide the training. We invite you to attend this training and to consider being part of the team!

Small Groups

Small Group Hosts/Facilitators Needed
As we launch small groups this fall with discussions centered around the Doctrines of the Free Church, we are looking for people who would be willing to open their homes to host/facilitate a small group starting in September. As a host/facilitator, you have the option of picking a time and day of the week that works best for you. Please sign up on Sunday or call Nate or Paul. Some may wish to just host and others just facilitate (as you may not have the room in your home for a small group) please sign up and we will match you with another couple/person to team up with. We are planning on providing training and encouragement to host/facilitators on August 22, to help your group experience be meaningful and successful. If you have any questions please contact Nate Johnson (629.1106) or Paul Sommerfeld (715.497.8171)

Small Group Host/Facilitators Training Meeting
If you are looking to host/facilitate a small group this fall, you will need to attend a special night of host training on Wed. August 22 from 7-9 pm at the South Campus. We will be focusing on helping you be successful as a host/facilitator and have a beneficial group experience. The training event itself will be a small group experience as well as provide you with information on the small groups and materials for this fall.

Cash Mob!

Our Women Who Help Others (WHO) Group is planning an event to encourage one of the small businesses in town. They are planning a “Cash Mob” on Monday, July 23 at 1:30 pm.  The idea is to bring people together at one place, at one time, and visit a particular business during a period of time and spend $10-20 at that place of business to help support and encourage them.  We want to be people who encourage others and that means others in the community!

All this said, everyone is invited to participate.  The business of choice is “Sprouts”.  Meet at Robinson Park, downtown Pine City at 1:30 pm, Monday, June 23.  Bring with you $5, $10, or $20, we will enter the store, shop around a bit and when you find something you would like to purchase, do so! This will be so much fun! Don’t miss out!

Becoming a "Great Commission" Church

On July 8, you are invited to learn more about "Mobilizing Missions!"  The Missions Committee is excited to have Steve and Kathy Austvold, team members with the Evangelical Free Church of America, come and share with us how to become a Great Commission Church. The Austvold's will have a part in our regular morning worship on July 8 AND will provide an enriching mini mission seminar following lunch. You won't want to miss this event!  One very current and disturbing, heart wrenching topic will be delivered on "Human-trafficking" at the seminar.  There will also be discussion on mission issues that are relevant to the PCEFC.

A brown bag lunch will be served right after the morning service BUT you must sign up for the lunch so we can plan accordingly!   Look for the sign up sheet at the back table after the morning service.  Call Mary Rinden at 629.3659 or Karen Gonyea at 629.7464 if additional information is needed.

Be a VIP!

Do you want to be a VIP? Yes, you can be part of a group of Volunteers Impacting Parents in our nursery during the worship service! We have many VIPs on the schedule but don't want to miss anyone who may want to volunteer and impact parents! If you are interested in helping out occasionally contact our nursery staff coordinator, Jamie Molhoff, at 629.3857. Be a VIP!

We will have a summer schedule available to give to you.  Don’t miss out on the fun as we kick off a great summer!

The First of Our "How To" Summer Classes

Char Stoffel offered a class on June 14 at the Lighthouse on how to make spring rolls with an assortment of yummy sauces that go with this tasty rolled appetizer.   Spring Rolls are an Asian snack of rice paper filled with minced vegetables and meat and rolled. A number of ladies put on their chef hat and came to this first of a number of “How To” classes that will be offered this summer!  The next class is just around the corner. It will be "How To Make Appetizers".  Date and time will be posted soon!
